5 September 2022, 12:00-15:00 CEST

Venue: Multicultural Centre of Warsaw, Jagiellońska 54, Warsaw, room: Eritrea 1st floor

Hosts: the “NEVER AGAIN” Association and Multicultural Centre of Warsaw

Cost: Free

We will be making books, figures, and do a little story-making and storytelling!

The aim is to strengthen the participant’s personal voice and open discourse for other alternative, pro-social ways of reducing violence in home, schools, and their communities. This project is geared for 10+ years of age or older. Or if you are a family that has younger people please feel free to bring younger children along. You will need to accompany them.

This project has been done in different settings but mostly in refugee, displaced, and underserved context. It is beneficial for all populations, in particularly for refugees due to:

1) To support the fundamental right of a participant’s voice in the classroom, community and the world around them;

2) To promote literacy through the use of story-telling, rewriting a new story and presenting stories to peers;

3) To create a place of safety for the participant to express their feelings using arts.

This workshop will be conducted in English but there is no need to speak perfect English. Everyone is welcome to join us!
