‘MINORITIES FOR PEACE. ENABLING DIALOGUE THROUGH POSITIVE PEACE AND MEDIATION FOR INDIGENOUS AND MINORITY COMMUNITIES IN EASTERN EUROPE AND BEYOND’
29 January 2025
Location: Zoom
Join us for an online meeting titled ‘Minorities for Peace. Enabling Dialogue through Positive Peace and Mediation for Indigenous and Minority Communities in Eastern Europe and Beyond’.
The Minorities for Peace initiative aims to build a culture of peace through empowering minority and indigenous community leaders from Eastern Europe, focusing on refugees from Ukraine and Russia as agents of peace and dialogue in the region marred by war and atrocities.
Despite being initially focused on Eastern Europe, the project proposed exploring opportunities of its applicability in other regional contexts.
Objectives of the event:
- To present the project’s framework recommendations and receive expert feedback from minorities from other parts of the world.
- To exchange good practices and tools between minorities from Eastern Europe and other regions.
- To discuss and identify new opportunities for collaboration and networking under the proposed framework.
The project is being implemented by the ‘NEVER AGAIN’ Association, a human rights organisation based in Warsaw (Poland) in cooperation with Exult! Solutions (India), and supported by Rotary International-Institute for Economics & Peace Partnership, among others.
